WHY I CHOSE PERFORMANCE MEDICINE

PM falls right in line with the type of medicine I have always practiced as a nurse practitioner, and gave me a great place to freely practice and help more people.

PATIENT EXPERIENCE

I want my patients to feel heard. Patients are often coming to see me because the traditional medical community has failed to listen to them, and I want them to know that I will listen and I am here to help.

FAVORITE PATIENT SUCCESS STORY

I have so many!

One, a patient that had suffered with unexplained body pain for 15-20 years that no one could figure out—her thyroid labs were off so we started thyroid treatment and within days her pain completely resolved.

Also, a male in his early 40s with a strong family history of high cholesterol and heart disease, very healthy overall, couldn’t tolerate statin medications so they just left his high cholesterol untreated.

I ordered a CT Calcium score to check for calcifications in his heart, which came back extremely high. Sent him to cardiology (he had no symptoms at the time), they did a cath and found significant blockages—patient ended up with a triple bypass soon after. Cardiologist told him if he had not gotten that CT Calcium score and come to cardiology when he did that he likely would have died within the next 6 months of a massive heart attack.

I cried along with him and his wife when they came back to tell me thank you for saving his life.

FAVORITE VITAMIN

  • Vitamin D! Everyone needs it!

  • Probiotics since I also specialize in GI care.

FAVORITE EXERCISE

Weight lifting: It creates the best body composition and feels great.

PASSIONS AND INTERESTS

  • Cooking: I have always loved to cook and it is very relaxing for me.

  • Exercising/weight lifting, traveling, spending time with my family, and DIY projects.
