Longevity Medicine
After retiring from General Surgery, Dr. Robert Rogers, MD shifted to longevity medicine and “health span” in particular.
His goal is to assist patients in obtaining their fitness goals using nutrition, exercise, sleep and relationship as a base.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
During my 30 years as a surgeon I specialized in gastrointestinal and endocrine issues. This makes my transition into longevity medicine a natural one. As we age our “gut health” and “endocrine health” become more and more important. My knowledge in these areas will serve as a foundation for helping patients.

WHY I CHOSE PERFORMANCE MEDICINE
Since day one, I’ve seen the difference that Tom and his staff have made in countless lives at Performance Medicine.
PATIENT EXPERIENCE
When I meet patients I want them to feel like I’m really listening to them. Anybody that’s ever been a patient knows that bedside manner is a big deal.
My brother Tom and I come by it naturally, because our Dad was the master. We both saw him connect with patients in a way that made us want to emulate him.
FAVORITE PATIENT SUCCESS STORY
Tom and I have collaborated on hundreds of patients over the last 20 years and it’s not hard to see his compassion for patients and his grasp of complex medical issues.
FAVORITE VITAMIN
Vit D, important in bone and muscle health as well as boosting the immune system. Almost half of us are deficient but it’s easy to correct.
FAVORITE EXERCISE
As we age, resistance training becomes more important, so I make that a priority. I enjoy pickleball and feel that it’s beneficial for fast twitch muscle preservation and balance and most importantly socialization. For cardiovascular health I love to cycle and walk.
