WHY I CHOSE PERFORMANCE MEDICINE

I really feel Performance Medicine chose me. Performance Medicine is tailored to the provider just as much as it is tailored to the patient.

Working for family and having each sibling and parent find a niche within the company is a true feat and an honor. I only feel gratitude when I think about my employment.

PATIENT EXPERIENCE

I want patients to feel hope when they see me. I aim to be my patients’ biggest cheerleader. So often we feel discouraged when we come into a traditional doctor’s office or feel like we did something wrong and didn’t match up to the doctor’s expectations.

I want all that erased and for patients to have room for honesty, discussion, and a game plan for trying something that not only benefits their body but their spirit as well. Hope can go a LONG way.

FAVORITE PATIENT SUCCESS STORY

We have so many wonderful patients with amazing success stories it’s hard to choose!

One that stands out was when I was first out of school. I sat with a woman going through menopause with a very depressed affect and detached mood. She described her life as meaningless and felt there was no hope for her energy, fatigue, and mood.

We tried bioidentical hormone creams for a month or two and each time we revisited her symptoms, she had the same affect - downcast and depressed. After some encouragement to try pellets and a little reluctance to pursue, she decided to bite the bullet and get the procedure.

No later than one week did she walk back through our lobby like a ray of sunshine with tears in her eyes! She couldn’t stop crying and thanking our team for not giving up on her. She said she found herself again. She lost an incredible amount of weight, found joy in her day, and has become one of our biggest advocates. I will never forget the difference in her affect pre and post pellet!

FAVORITE EXERCISE

Hot Yoga: It’s an all-in-one workout that encompasses strength, core, flexibility, body weight, release of toxins with infrared heat, spirituality, and community.

PASSIONS AND INTERESTS

  • Theatre: It’s in stark contrast to my day job and allows me some freedom and fun to explore my artistic side.

  • Writing: It’s a cathartic release and allows me to connect spiritually to my intuitive side.

  • Hot Yoga: It’s an all-in-one workout with a great community.

  • Travel: It’s a sure-fire way to see the world, explore new cultures, and expand my viewpoint. My favorite thing is to book tickets to a theatrical show in any theatre in a town I go to.
